Ketamine assisted Psychotherapy

A Different Way In.

With the current research on psychedelic medicines and how they may treat mental illnesses, many are turning to this path for relief, experimentation or growth. It is an exciting time for this field of research as worldwide investigations are looking at psychedelics for the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD and more.

Working with Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy can offer a different experience and view of oneself. This can lead to unique insights and changes. It is not for everyone, but for those who are called to it, it can be a different door to enter your psyche, learn about yourself and make shifts in your life.

Encounter Your Inner Wisdom.

A number of psychological theories say that we all have a part of us that is wise, knowing and intuitive. This part of us will go towards balance, healing and wholeness. It somehow knows where to go and what to do. In ketamine assisted psychotherapy, this is the part of you that is being revealed and explored in the altered states of consciousness.

About Ketamine Assisted Therapy.

If you have taken psychedelics, you know they can offer a full range of experiences, sometimes glorious and beautiful, sometimes hard, even traumatic. Frequently, the tough stuff has a hidden significance or powerful meaning. Working with a therapist during KAP helps you to sort the experience into the pearls of wisdom. Additionally, a difficult journey can be even harder if we are or feel alone in it. Pairing therapy and KAP can break up those feelings of aloneness, as you share your struggle with me and together we decipher its meaning to you.

I offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in my practice. We work in collaboration with a doctor to assess whether this treatment is appropriate for you. Most often, my ketamine work is with my on-going weekly therapy clients. I sometimes have availability to offer KAP as an adjunctive therapy, in collaboration with your therapist, psychiatrist or doctor.

Ketamine work is frequently short term, lasting 3-6 sessions. Reach out to see if I have current openings. For more information on psychedelic therapy in California, see my FAQ’s here.

It is no surprise that psychedelics, with their activation of deeply healing intelligent capacities, seem to spontaneously engender internal and interpersonal experiences of love.
